Sermon Title:  BE IN HEALTH” (part I)

 

                Scripture References:   1 John 3:2; Psalm 139:14;

 

I.    WE ARE DYING BEFORE FULFILLING DESTINY

A.  WHAT’S WRONG WITH HEALTH CARE IN AMERICA

·   More people get colds and flu than ever before

·   More people have heart disease than ever before

·   Heart disease is the cause of one out of every two deaths in America,

   over one million people each year

·   Each year over one million Americans die from heart disease and over

   half a million die from cancer

·   Cancer is now killing more children between the ages of three and 14

   than anything else

·   One out of every three Americans will develop cancer do in their lifetime

·   Two out of every three families will have a member suffer the ravages of

   cancer

·   More people have multiple sclerosis, Lupus, muscular dystrophy, asthma,

   migraine headaches, belly, neck and back pain than ever before

·   More people have acid reflux, ulcers, and stomach problems than ever

   before

·   More women have menopause problems than ever before

·   More kids have attention deficit disorder and hyper activity than ever

   before

·   More people have chronic fatigue than ever before

·   More people suffer from depression, stress and anxiety than ever before

·   More men and women suffer from sexual dysfunction and infertility than

   ever before

·   More people suffer from allergies, arthritis, constipation, fibromyalgia, cold

   sores and herpetic breakouts than ever before

·   More men suffer from prostrate problems than ever before

·   More women suffer from yeast infections than ever before

 

Ex. Pastor of 15,000 member church forced to leave ministry at 45 due to

      Cancer

Ex. Those who live have a greatly reduced quality of life

 

 

II.  WE ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO GET SICK

A.      HOW WE ARE MADE

 

Psalm 139:14

      I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy

works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

 

·         Our body is literally a chemical factory composed of almost every element in the mineral kingdom - oxygen 65%, carbon 15%, hydrogen 10%, nitrogen 3%, calcium 2%, phosphorous 1%, and trace amounts of sulfur, sodium, chlorine, fluorine, potassium, magnesium, iron, silicone, iodine, copper, lead, aluminum, etc. These are airborne elements "breath of life” and the remaining elements come from the earth "dust of the ground" about 4%

 

·         Our body consists of about 100 trillion cells. These cells require constant nourishment in constant cleansing of contaminants.  If properly cleansed and nourished they can almost live forever. Some parts of the body are renewed as often as every week; much of the body is rebuilt every year while the bones require as much as several years of total rebuilding and replacement.

 

·         If the cells are not given proper nourishment and cleansed of toxic material when they are reproduced, the stronger cells will be replaced by weaker cells resulting in sickness.

 

We must realize that being sick is not normal and it's not the natural state of our body. Our bodies are not supposed to get sick

 

Cells can live forever in a laboratory, as long as the fluid in which the cell is living in is constantly cleaned and change

 

Ex. Animals in the wild – Never get cancer, heart disease, cavities, arthritis, and

      diabetes

Ex. There are cultures in the world where people have never had cancer,

       diabetes

 

III.WHY WE GET SICK

 

THEORIES ABOUT WHY PEOPLE GET SICK

1.      All diseases are caused by germs, primarily bacteria

2.      Viruses are the cause of all illness and disease

3.      The current theory - all sickness and disease and illness is caused by genetic

         defects.

 

We either “catch” something or “develop” something but because of our immune system that means:

a.       Our immune system is weak

b.      Toxins are attacking our body

c.       We have nutritional deficiencies

d.      There's too much mental and emotional stress trapped in our bodies

 

THREE REASONS CHRISTIANS GET SICK

1.      For the glory of God.  (John 9:1– 3)

2.      Because of unconfessed sin.   Example – unforgiveness

3.      Violation of God's natural laws.

 

IV.       WHAT HAS GONE WRONG

A.       Shift from a “Nutritional” focus to a “Profit” focus

 

CHEMICALS

Over 1,000,000,000 pounds of insecticides are sprayed on food each year. Less than 1% ever reaches the insect.

 

Chemicals are added to our food that actually makes people hungrier so they will eat more of the product. Certain chemicals are added to cause people to be addicted to the product so that they will buy more.

 

There are over 15,000 ingredients that food manufacturer don't have to be put on the label of the foods we buy.

 

Many say if it's in a box, if it's in a bottle or jar, don’t eat it.

 

The bottom line is this - anything we eat or drink that has been genetically modified or process by a large publicly traded food manufacturer are produced with herbicides, pesticides or chemical fertilizers or with chemical additives – the food  will stress our body.

 

1.      It suppresses our immune system making us more susceptible to disease.

2.      It turns our bodies from the natural alkaline pH state in which disease and illness can't survive into an acidic state in which cancer, heart disease and diabetes can thrive.

 

PRESERVATIVES

Our grandparents only had two preservatives salt and vinegar.

Today we have BHA, BHT, sodium nitrate calcium propionate, EDTA, red dyes, yellow dyes etc.

o      Artificial sweeteners

·               Vegetable gums

 

WATER

Our ancestors drank from a well or spring - it was pure. Today our water is chlorinated, fluorinated and toxic.

 

 

MILK

Pasteurized milk is heated to at least 160° to 220° to kill bacteria but the heating also destroys the total nutritional value of the milk. Then, it's homogenized so that the cream will not rise to the top. Ex. We are told milk is good in calcium, but we are unaware that the pasteurization process renders the calcium unstable by the body. The organic calcium is changed to an inorganic form which the body cannot use.

 

The pasteurized molecules become so small when you ingest them they virtually scar your arteries.  They clog up your digestive system making it very difficult to digest food, which is one of the major causes of acid reflux disease, obesity, allergies and constipation.

 

FISH

Farmed versus those that grows in the wild. The farmed fish grow in unnatural environments to unnaturally large sizes.  Poisonous chemicals are used in processing the fish.

 

FLOUR

They removed the germ which contains most of the food value because it gums up their machines. Next they remove the bran because it leaves brown specks in the flour then they bleach it with the chemical bleaching agent similar to Clorox.

 

MARGARINE

They take liquid oil and heat it to a high temperature.  Then bubble hydrogen gas to it so it becomes hard.  Next, they bleach it, filter it and deodorize it producing an ODORLESS tasteless artificial fat.  It becomes hydrogenated which scars the arteries and causes heart disease.

 

IRRADIATION

This is when foods of all kinds are zapped with radioactive beams of energy designed to kill harmful bacteria so you don't get sick or die when you eat it. This is needed because of the way they process the food. This process often changes food to a toxic state rather than a life-giving state.

 

MEAT

Antibiotics and Growth Hormones are added

ORANGE JUICE

First of all, motivated by selling more at a lower cost:

1.      They choose the worst oranges in the world that they couldn't sell

2.      These oranges are already full of fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and are genetically engineered.

3.      Because of the processing implants, bacteria and mold can easily develop

4.      They heat the juice to 220° for 30 minutes to kill any bacteria.

5.      This process destroys the natural energy enzymes and vitamins contained in the product.

6.      They often add sugar but even if they don't, the pasteurization makes it much sweeter than normal.

 

Pasteurization is when the juice is subjected to the high temperatures, but it loses 100% of its enzymes, over 80% of his vitamins and 100% of the organic minerals that were in the juice. Almost the entire nutritional value of the Orange was destroyed

 

DRUGS

Mark 5:25-26

    And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, [26] And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse.

 

Most drugs cause more problems than solve them.  Almost all synthetic drugs are poisonous or toxic to the body that's why they call so many side-effects.

 

Ex. Nexium

The safety of NEXIUM was evaluated in over 15,000 patients (aged 18-84 years) in clinical trials worldwide including over 8,500 patients in the United States and over 6,500 patients in Europe and Canada. Over 2,900 patients were treated in long-term studies for up to 6-12 months. In general, NEXIUM was well tolerated in both short and long-term clinical trials.

A study was performed evaluating the safety of NEXIUM in pediatric patients aged 12-17 for the treatment of symptomatic GERD.

The safety in the treatment of healing of erosive esophagitis was assessed in four randomized comparative clinical trials, which included 1,240 patients on NEXIUM     20 mg, 2,434 patients on NEXIUM 40 mg, and 3,008 patients on omeprazole 20 mg daily. The most frequently occurring adverse events (≥1%) in all three groups was headache (5.5, 5.0, and 3.8, respectively) and diarrhea (no difference among the three groups). Nausea, flatulence, abdominal pain, constipation, and dry mouth occurred at similar rates among patients taking NEXIUM or omeprazole.

Additional adverse events that were reported as possibly or probably related to NEXIUM with an incidence < 1% are listed below by body system:

Body as a Whole: abdomen enlarged, allergic reaction, asthenia, back pain, chest pain, chest pain substernal, facial edema, peripheral edema, hot flushes, fatigue, fever, flu-like disorder, generalized edema, leg edema, malaise, pain, rigors; Cardiovascular: flushing, hypertension, tachycardia; Endocrine: goiter; Gastrointestinal: bowel irregularity, constipation aggravated, dyspepsia, dysphagia, dysplasia GI, epigastric pain, eructation, esophageal disorder, frequent stools, gastroenteritis, GI hemorrhage, GI symptoms not otherwise specified, hiccup, melena, mouth disorder, pharynx disorder, rectal disorder, serum gastrin increased, tongue disorder, tongue edema, ulcerative stomatitis, vomiting; Hearing: earache, tinnitus; Hematologic: anemia, anemia hypochromic, cervical lymphoadenopathy, epistaxis, leukocytosis, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia; Hepatic: bilirubinem
