THINKING OF VISITING OUR CAMPUS FOR THE FIRST TIME?
We also would like to help you if you are wanting to visit our location for the first time. Here is some helpful information:
WHAT TO EXPECT
There is something for everyone at FAHOW no matter your age or gender! If you have any questions that are not covered here or possibly not in another part of this web site, we encourage you to call our church office at (334) 613-3363.
On Sundays, FAHOW has a morning worship service that begins with prayer at 9:30 AM, and our service starts at 10:00 AM. It is helpful if you arrive 15 to 20 minutes prior to the start of these services to allow time for parking and to ensure an excellent seat. We have a midweek service that takes place on Wednesday evening with worship & prayer from 5:00- 7:00 PM, and our service portion begins at 7:00 PM.
PARKING & THE NEED FOR TRANSPORTATION
FAHOW is blessed with ample parking in front of our building. Handicap and visitor parking is available close to the building as well. Simply let one of our parking lot attenders know that you are either a visitor, or in need of a handicap spot, and they will direct you to them. Should you not have transportation, please call our church office at (334) 613-3363 to enquire about the potential of being picked up by our van ministry. You must make this call by the Thursday proceeding the Sunday you wish to attend in order to be added to the pick-up schedule.
We do not have an official dress code so you are encouraged to come as you are. We are more concerned about meeting you than what you may or may not wear. You can dress up or down, what matters is that you come with a heart that is open to encountering God.
NURSERY for ages 0-5
FAHOW does provide a nursery for newborns to age five for our Sunday morning and evening services, as well as for our Wednesday evening bible study. On Sunday mornings, the nursery opens at 9:45 AM, and remains open throughout the duration of the morning service. The Nursery is located behind the main sanctuary in the three modular buildings. Ages newborn-23 months are in the modular building on the right which is closest to Fleming Road. Ages 2-3 are in the middle modular building. Ages 4-5 are in the modular building on the right.
CHILDREN'S CHURCH for ages 6-11
Children’s Church for ages 6-11 is provided during our morning service, and our Wednesday evening bible study. It is known as “Promise Kids Kingdom,” and is located directly across the street from our Fleming Road entrance in the FAHOW Activity Center. It opens each Sunday morning at 9:45 AM, and remains open through the duration of the morning service.
Both the nursery and children’s church require an adult to physically “sign-in” each child, and return to physically sign them out as well.
There is a youth service for young people ages 12 years old- through high school. These meetings are held in the main sanctuary on Sunday evenings beginning at 5:00 PM. The youth service goes for approximately two hours and parents are welcome to attend as well. The Youth also meet each Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM in the FAHOW Activity Center located across the street from the church.
THE NATURE OF OUR SERVICES
As our name says, we are a “House of Worship” that seeks fresh experiences with the living God. We give a good portion of our services to praise and worship, followed by the ministry of the word and generally a time where we allow those that desire prayer to receive ministry at the end of our services.
Here are four key things we want to give expression to in each of our services:
1. We participate in extravagant worship: This means we worship with everything within us. We recognize that we are God's creation and we were created to worship him by dancing, singing, and playing of instruments unto him. Psalms 149, 150, & 47:1.
2. The ministry of hearing His word the Bible, being taught by ministers who engage in speaking His word through preaching and teaching. Acts 15:35, 1 Corinthians 1:17-24, Colossians 1:27-29.
3. Acknowledging the Almighty God as the ultimate supplier of our needs by the giving of tithes and offerings. Philippians 4:19, II Corinthians 9:6-11, Malachi 3:6-12.
4. Seeking the Lord in prayer. We engage in prayer regularly before, during, and after our services. We also have ministers available to personally minister in prayer by praying over individuals who go to our altar to seek to receive ministry at the end of our services. Matthew 21:13, Luke 18:1, James 5:14-15.
Sunday morning Service: Prayer begins at 9:30 AM, and the service begins at 10:00 AM.
Wednesday Evenings: Prayer from 5:00- 7:00 AM, Evening Bible Study- 7:00 PM.
