Our History

In 1982 Pastor Olu Itiola was sent by Deeper Life Bible Church in Lagos, Nigeria as a church-planting missionary to the United States. He started the first United States branch of Deeper Life Bible Church in Montgomery, AL in 1987. In 1993, Pastor Olu was called of God to move the headquarters of the U.S. churches to New York and passed the leadership mantle of the local church to Pastor Kyle Searcy. In 2000, under the leadership of Bishop Olu Itiola and the Holy Spirit, Fresh Anointing International Church was formed in Montgomery, AL with Pastor Kyle Searcy as Senior Pastor.

With the leading of the Holy Spirit and the blessing of Bishop Olu, we determined that the Lord was calling us to make the shift to launch out in a new and fresh way. Thus, Fresh Anointing House of Worship (FAHOW) was conceived in 2007 under the pastoral leadership of Kyle and Kemi Searcy. Also in 2007, we dedicated a 2000-seat sanctuary in a six-year-old, 37,200-square foot building on 376 acres of land in a celebration of the tremendous wealth transfer from the enemy’s kingdom to the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus.

By the grace and favor of God, there are now 9 seed-offsprings of FAHOW throughout the southeast United States: Meridian, MS; Selma, AL; Augusta, GA; Crestview, FL; Wetumpka, AL, Birmingham, AL, Columbus, GA, Nashville, TN, and Oswego, IL. Through the Fresh Oil International Fellowship of Churches, over 170 churches throughout parts of the African continent are under the leadership of this ministry.

The membership at FAHOW in Montgomery has increased to nearly 2,000 and counting. The E3 vision for FAHOW Montgomery-Exalt, Extend, and Empower-was cast in 2008. The E3 vision focuses on three spiritual houses- the House of Worship, the House of Missions, and the House of Mercy.

Fresh Anointing is, and has always been, a ministry with a strong emphasis on prayer and a commitment to community transformation, one life at a time. We are also a multi-racial, multi-generational, international ministry committed to fulfilling the mandate of Christ to make disciples of every people group possible.

OUR CORE VALUES

We value passion for God and Compassion for people as the motives upon which we operate. Matthew 22:34-37.

We value being used by God for the Deliverance of mankind. Luke 4:18-19.

a) We believe that healing is provided in the atonement and should be ministered regularly. Psalm 103:1-3.

b) We will constantly seek to free people from demons and demonic strong-holds. Mark 16:17

c) Divine Power Encounters will be regularly sought. 1 Cor. 4:20.

We value prayer as the definition of our house (Isaiah 56:7; Matt 21:13) since, “except the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain that build it” (Psalm 127:1).

a) We believe that night and day prayer is the mandate of the church. Luke 18:1-8.

b) The Kingdom should be built through radical prayer and fasting. Matt. 17:21.

We value purity and holiness, but true holiness resulting from intimacy with God and a passionate pursuit of His presence. Psalm 29:2; 2 Cor. 7:1.

We value Aggressive Humility and Servant Leadership as the model by which we serve God’s people. 1 Peter 5:5; James 4:6.

We value the Word of God and sound practical teaching of the scriptures. Hosea 4:6; Psalm 119:105.

We value training our children and youth to be radical Disciples of Christ. We will labor that no child will be left behind. Deut. 6:1-5.

We value order and excellence as the wineskin through which God will release His Spirit. Daniel 6:1-3

WHAT WE BELIEVE

• We believe in one God-Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Creator of all things.

• We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified, died, was buried, was resurrected, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father and is true God and true man.

• We believe the Bible in its entirety to be the inspired Word of God and the infallible rule of faith and conduct.

• We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the eternal happiness of the saved, and the eternal punishment of the lost.

• We believe in personal salvation of believers through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

• We believe in sanctification through the Word of God and by the Holy Spirit, and we believe in personal holiness, purity of heart and life.

• We believe in divine healing, through faith in the Name of Jesus Christ, and that healing is included in the Redemption.

• We believe in water baptism, in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit as distinct from the New Birth, in speaking with tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance (Acts 2:4), in the gifts of the Spirit, and the evidence of the fruit of the Spirit. We believe that all of these are available to believers.

• We believe in the Christian's hope-the soon-coming, personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ
.

THE E-3 VISION OF FAHOW

1. Exalt the Lord (House of Worship)

Tap into God is the first part of our vision at Fresh Anointing House of Worship is to Exalt the Lord! We exalt Him through praise & worship and with prayer and fasting. We press in for a Great Awakening through 100% obedience and service to God.

We will Exalt the Lord through a massive effort to reach the youth of our community. We fuel this energy in our Avenue 93 ministry to the youth.

We will Exalt the Lord through Prophecy and through Deliverance Ministry which look to impact a person in seeing them going forward in the destiny God has for them, being free from every hinderance of the evil one. ,

We will Exalt the Lord through more than 35 fully functional ministries within the church, to include: Fresh Connect Small Groups which strengthen the bonds of unity among believers through the power of small group fellowships. We will continue to host life-changing conferences inside the house while spreading the love of God outside the four walls of Fresh Anointing through community outreach.

We will Exalt the Lord by equipping and training His people through our Discipleship Classes and the Fresh Anointing School of Ministry.

Exalting the Lord defined: Knowing God, Being radically committed to God, Being spiritually complete in Him, and
Walking in 100% obedience to God

2. Extend the Kingdom (House of Missions)- Touch the World

The second part of the vision for Fresh Anointing House of Worship is to Extend the Kingdom.

Acts 1:8, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

The Great Commission: Matthew 28:18-20, "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, 'All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.' Amen."

An astounding fact quoted by Pastor Benny Hinn, is that 70% of all the world’s preachers are in America.

Therefore we will Extend the Kingdom to the Motherland (Africa) of many of our members by investigating avenues for continued outreach projects.

We will “go ye therefore” and Extend the Kingdom to South America and to India with great anticipation and expectation for opportunities to arise in other nations.

We will Extend the Kingdom through our established Fresh Oil International Equipping Center, Apostolic and Prophetic (AP) Teams, via current church plants such as Meridian, MS., Selma, AL., Crestview, FL, Columbus, Ga., Augusta, GA, Nashville, TN, Birmingham, AL, Wetumpka, AL & Oswego, IL. We will also do this through future missions projects.

Extending the Kingdom defined: Carrying out the will of God, and seeing the Joy of impact

3. Empower the People (House of Mercy)- Transform the Community

The third part of the Fresh Anointing House of Worship is to Empower the People.

Matthew 22:39-40, "And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."

Proverbs 19:17, "He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again."

James 1:27, "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world."

Listed below are the many ways that we Empower the People in our local community.

We are the facilitators of the Fresh Start Christian Academy ministering to preschooler in the community. We minister to the elderly in their late and often lonely stages of their lives through our Nursing Home Ministry. Local inmates in the Kilby Correctional Facility are often ministered to through our Prison Ministry.

Empowering the Kingdom means: Transforming the community
Therefore we will Extend the Kingdom to the Motherland (Africa) of many of our members by investigating avenues for continued outreach projects.

We will “go ye therefore” and Extend the Kingdom to South America and to India with great anticipation and expectation for opportunities to arise in other nations.

We will Extend the Kingdom through our established International Equipping Center, Apostolic and Prophetic (AP) Teams, via current church plants (Meridian, Selma, Crestview, Wetumpka, Augusta, Columbus), and through future missions projects.

PARKING & THE NEED FOR TRANSPORTATION

Apostle Kyle Searcy

Kyle Searcy is a recognized and highly respected, apostle, prayer warrior, teacher, and author. Apostle Kyle, as he is affectionately known by his members, serves as co-founder of the thriving, multi-racial, multi-generational, international ministry, Fresh Anointing House of Worship, located in historic Montgomery, Alabama.

It was in 1987 that Kyle had a supernatural encounter with Christ while he was a senior at Alabama State University. This life changing encounter would be the moment that he became a Christian. The experience of salvation to Kyle was so awesome. He was being reconnected to God and at that moment, he immediately devoted himself to living entirely for Him. Shortly thereafter, God spoke to Kyle with His internal, audible voice and called him to the ministry.

In 1993, Kyle became a pastor at Fresh Anointing International Church. During Apostle Kyle’s twenty plus years of ministry, he has watched God increase the membership at Fresh Anointing in Montgomery from approximately 100 to approximately 2,000 and counting. In 2007, with the leading of the Holy Spirit, FAIC responded to “the calling of the Lord” to make the shift and launch out to become Fresh Anointing House of Worship (FAHOW). The vision for Fresh Anointing is to Exalt the Lord, Extend the Kingdom, and Empower the People (E3).

Kyle, fulfilling his mandate as an end-time apostle, also serves as the Overseer of Fresh Oil Fellowship of Churches International and nine Fresh Anointing House of Worship churches in the United States: Meridian, MS; Selma, AL; Wetumpka, AL; Birmingham, AL; Augusta, GA; Oswego, IL; Crestview, FL; Nashville, TN, and Columbus, GA. He is the Overseer for over 230 international churches on the continent of Africa, including Liberia, Nigeria, and Ghana. In July 2009, a new facet was added with the ordination of Kyle to the office of Apostle.

Apostle Kyle’s personal relationship and public ministry are marked by a very uncommon fervency and passion for Jesus Christ. His walk with Jesus is characterized by extraordinary intimacy, extravagant worship, fasting and prayer, holiness, righteousness, and a passionate pursuit of our Father and His righteousness. Apostle Kyle strongly believes that our relationship with Christ can be deeper than just going to church. In that relationship, we can have passion, sincerity, and purpose! Apostle Kyle demonstrates by his lifestyle and leads by example, that our passion for Christ can be so deep that it will possesses our innermost being and become the overwhelming motivation for all that we do. Those around him know him as a faithful bearer of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and as a man of integrity who is full of faith, the Word of God, and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Not only has God given Apostle Kyle a gift of speaking, but an anointed gift of writing. This gift has led to the publishing of eight books written by him:

Power of Passion- Learn how to develope a dynamic, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.

Overcoming Lust of the Flesh- thoroughly explores the topic of lust from its origin to its defeat. Through scriptures and personal testimonies, many misconceptions about lust are debunked.

Write the Vision: Developing a Life Plan, which provides practical tools to developing a vision and a life plan.

The Eagle Christian (English and Spanish translation)- challenges a person to soar above life’s obstacles.

From Legalism to Love- Here Apostle Kyle uses his personal testimony to help others cultivate a dynamic love relationship with Jesus Christ.

What Ladder Are You Going to Climb- is a part of a new leadership series geared toward youth and young adults.

The Power of Wisdom: Releasing the Mantle of Wisdom in Your Life- This is the latest book. It vividly illustrates very effectively, the anointing and spiritual authority of wisdom, the value of wisdom, the characteristics of wisdom, and how wisdom will produce valuable fruit in our lives.

These powerful books are testimonies of God’s faithfulness to Kyle to use him for His glory. Apostle Kyle’s books have produced countless stories of how lives have been impacted and changed, all for the glory of God. He has also collaborated with his wife on book on the subject of marriage called "Marriage Matters: How to Find Your Mate."

Apostle Kyle holds B.S. (1987) and M.Ed. (1994) degrees in Mathematics, from Alabama State University (ASU). He is a faithful servant within the church, but within his community as well. He uses the wisdom God has given him to diligently serve in many positions including President of KCS Ministries, Fresh Start Community Development Corporation, and the President of the Board of Directors for the Montgomery House of Prayer and Worship (MHPW), a 24-hour, seven days a week, community prayer center. Apostle Kyle also serves as a member of the Board of Directors with the Small Business Resource Center and the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce. In 2008, he partnered with Lou Engle to bring The Call prayer movement to Montgomery. Kyle has appeared on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) locally as a host and guest. He also appeared internationally on TBN’s Praise The Lord program with hosts Ben Kinchlow, Clifton Davis, and Ron Carpenter.

In February 2011, Apostle Kyle embraced the invitation and call to become a member of the International Apostolic Council (IAC). IAC is composed of the founding fathers of the International Communion of Evangelical Churches (ICEC) led by First Presiding Bishop Harry Jackson Jr. Apostle Kyle Searcy is also a leader in the organization 818 TheSign. This organization, also known as The 818 Movement, is a movement of prayer and proclamation to release Godly justice, righteousness in the black community, and revival in the nations. The mission of 818 TheSign is to gather God's people to the place of fasting and prayer for the black community, unto a Great Awakening.

As well as being a skilled writer and well sought after speaker, he is husband to the beautiful and anointed, Kemi Searcy. Pastor Kemi, a native of Ghana, West Africa, is a dynamic woman of God in her own right. She complements Apostle Kyle’s ministry with an international flavor along with an uncommon passion for prayer and intimacy with Jesus. They are the blessed parents of four beautiful children. They have two daughters, Biola Searcy-Hollis and Funmi, two sons, Paul and Christopher, and two grandchildren, Nathan and Abigail.
As I lay in the bed wondering what the Lord would want me to do, He led me to read Psalm 23. At first I resisted, thinking, “What could possibly be in that psalm I haven’t already heard?” To my surprise when I read it my heart was greatly impacted. I received an impartation of faith and grace that was new and fresh.

As I shared this psalm with my congregation, one phrase seemed to be particularly impactful. It was the phrase: “He restores my soul.”

The soul is the mind, will and emotions. There has been a long-term strategy of the enemy to deeply damage the souls of those God chooses to use. He seeks to keep our spirit and authority impotent by keeping our soul troubled. When our soul is not healthy our spirit is hindered. Satan seeks to keep you paralyzed in un-forgiveness, bitterness, hurt, broken hearts, excessive grief, fear and torment. Since a healthy soul is essential for the ultimate spiritual impact, the restoration of your soul is critical.
Jesus is a master at soul restoration. In his first recorded sermon he declared:

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord." Luke 4:18-19.

Our Great Shepherd wants to heal us so we can war. We are called to be salt and light to this darkened world. We must be about our father’s business expanding and extending his kingdom. But a crippled soul can cause us to be myopic, introspective and at times narcissistic. In this season Jesus is on “soul patrol.” He is looking for the areas of your inner life that hinder your relationship with him so he can fix them. I declared and decreed this to my congregation in Montgomery and the Lord started moving immediately. Here is one testimony from, let’s call her Sharon.

"I have never been more certain that God loves me than on yesterday. Let me explain the short version. Saturday night I was in a terrible funk about not being married. And how every man that I think I may like God snatches away (because I ask Him to if he is not the one). But, I was thinking "My God Everybody?!" :) The enemy jumped on the opportunity to make matters worse by taunting me with my figure flaws, health issues, etc. I was snapping on everybody. In short, Sunday morning I couldn't even bring myself to take time out to be pretty and neat. I didn’t want to come to church at all for that matter. Obviously, I made it. God gave you this message just for me. :) Oh yea and everybody else that came to church.

Sunday night I had a dream. The dream was about you standing in my kitchen. I understand that when your pastor is in the dream, it is usually a representation of the Lord coming to you as the Great Shepherd. In as much, you looked at me and asked me "What do you need? What is holding you up?" Well, I looked at you with tears in my eyes and I couldn't bring myself to tell you. But, I wrote it down on a random piece of paper. You said, "Oh is this it?" You said it almost sarcastically, but more gingerly. I nodded. Then you picked me up like a father picks up a two-year-old little girl and began to hug me. I felt the presence and love of God even in my sleep. I began to holler in gratitude to God. And I fell at His/your feet. I couldn't peel my face off the ground even if I wanted to. Then I heard you say with authority, "You are Healed, Delivered, and Set Free from every bondage that ever held you back!" I began to repeat it over and over again to the point that I woke up from the dream saying it."

What God did for her, he is willing to do for you. I am convinced Jesus is ready to deal with inner issues in your life - if you let him. It’s time to forgive all those who wronged you and petition your great shepherd to restore your soul.

I decree and declare that you are entering into a season of soul restoration. I proclaim that what held you back in the last season would not exist in this season. I speak over you grace to easily overcome obstructing hurts and emotions. I admonish you to rise up and accept the healing power of God in your soul and be made whole.
